Text QR codes are useful for brief instructions, labels, product details, or a note that should remain available when a printed item is offline. The scanner reads the stored characters and shows them on screen; it does not open a link or automatically save the text.

Keep the message concise. Longer text needs a denser QR pattern, which can make a small or poorly printed code harder to scan. If the information changes often or needs formatting, use a link QR code to a page you can update instead.

Include only the information a scanner needs at that moment. Scan the code yourself to check that line breaks and punctuation are easy to read on a phone.
